We had the privilege to be super close to the action, right in front on the pontoon this morning when Dee and Anna arrived, setting two records: first girl team non-stop around the planet and for Dee this arrival represents the accumulation of three highly successful circumnavigations; all non-stop, Vendee Globe, record “against the flow” and now the Barcelona World Race… The two are standing there with their national flags and Champaign in their hair. What a beautiful moment, incredible achievement and incredible record. The shore team unfolds a poster behind them: saying “persigue tus suenos”. One of the media persons translates it to me: “Follow your dream!” Shining and full of energy – their pose and gestures. Something hits me! To see it from this site to see their achievement – really touches me: …this simple epic theme: the dream, the focus and drive to do it, the struggles and fights on the way, the moment of achievement for them like for us while others failed… This seems to be our mental code. With a big smile Dee points at Ryan and me when she sees us in the crowds. Ryan, Alex Pella and me climbed onboard Gaes/Aviva for some pictures with Dee and Anna. It’s a special feeling to set foot on a boat that has just arrived from a circumnavigation. The boat looks in good shape apart from missing stations and the dust of the arrival flares.

   Eine großartige Leistung der Mädels, auch wenn Dee den größten Teil des Weges ja bereits in beiden Richtungen kannte .
   Ich finde es toll, wie herzlich der Empfang für JEDE eintreffende Crew celebriert wird – sie alle werden als Sieger gefeiert, egal ob erste, fünfte oder … und sie haben ja auch tatsächlich alle einen außergewöhnlichen Sieg erkämft!
