Laut Tracker noch 24 nm, dann seid ihr im 3 stelligen Bereich. Auf den letzten Meilen wünsche ich Euch weiterhin viel Spaß, genießt die Ruhe auf See bevor Euch das Landleben wieder hat. Ich wäre so gerne nach Barca geflogen um Euch gebührend zu begrüßen, passt aber leider nicht in meinen sehr vollen Terminplan im April. Immerhin kann ich online dabei sein – den Preis für die beste Berichterstattung von Bord habt ihr eh ganz sicher in der Tasche.

Hej Boris, hej Ryan,
is there anything in and on your boat which has not yet taken a day off or more – apart from you of course? How do you repair the self steering system with on-board means? I hope it is working again. Otherwise you still can use your fin or parts of you keel (which seems to be on early retirement anyway) to get a mechanical wind steering system running. However, don’t be too hard on your boat. It has served you well if not better than that. Look at the poor Central Lechera Asturiana team. After such a long pause of repair they have to drop out of the race finally.
Let’s hope that you can successfully circle around any calm and get to Barcelona as quickly as possible. The report said your arrival will be on Sunday. That would be marvelous!! Get the final fishies into the bloody lemon juice and prepare yourself for a big welcome in Barcelona. In the case you wonder why you spill a lot of sparkling alcoholic stuff over yourself when just a couple of days ago you did not have enough to eat – that is when you know you are back in ‘normal’ live I guess.

Denkt daran, nur noch wenige Tage könnt Ihr Eure Einsamkeit auf dem Meer geniessen, dann hat auch Euch die Hektik des modernen Alltags wieder. Vielleicht werdet ihr Euch in einer Woche bereits nach den Tagen auf Eurer segelnden Cremetube zurücksehen, trotz mangelnder Ernährung und technischen Problemen an Bord

der ungünstige wind in der strasse von G wird euch wieder dichter an die bierkutscher ranbringen. hier an der südküste von portugal hat der ostwind schon früher eingesetzt und hält bis morgen abend mindestens bei stärken bis über 30 kn an. da werden die bierkutscher erstmal einen tag auf der stelle segeln und den ganzen tag lang alle 30 min segelsäcke umtrimmen. tipp wäre von uns… erstmal weiter unter land und dann parallel zur küste von marokko sich langsam nach norden arbeiten und wenn der wind zurückdreht ( so zum we ) locker durchrutschen und die bierkutscher an der kimm sehen …
wir würden euch liebend gern ein paar häppchen vorbeibringen, aber mit dem Hobie Cat seid ihr leider unerreichbar für uns.

In der Alboran hat’s in den vergangenen Stunden mächtig gescheppert wie ED und R berichten. Sturm zieht ab nach Ost, dürfte aber noch eine ordentliche Welle stehen wenn ihr ins Nadelöhr einlauft. Zumindest solltet ihr Tageslicht haben. Kontaktet unbedingt Tarifa Trafic damit sie euch die Stahlröhren vom Leib halten. Die Jungs sind echt kooperativ! Also, weiterhin schön vorsichtig bleiben und bloß nichts mehr kaputt machen – die Lady quietscht sicher schon in den höchsten Tönen …
