Tomorrow on Thursday 10th September, Boris Herrmann, will be on the start line of the 10th edition of Le Défi Azimut race with 19 other skippers on the start line to compete in this 48-hour race starting at 15.30 CET in Lorient.

This is an offshore route where the teams will do a triangular course of 500-mile, rounding off with a lap of the Ile de Groix in Brittany and returning to port on Saturday after two nights at sea.

Boris Herrmann the Team Malizia skipper is very focused on the Vendee Globe which is starting in under 2 months and he has been doing as much training as possible on Seaexplorer – Yacht Club de Monaco to prepare mentally and physically for this race. The Azimut is no exception and will be an excellent test of man and machine in this final race before the start.

The weather conditions for the next couple of days are not forecast to be rough so it’ll be pure racing between the teams and a great opportunity for fans to engage and follow the skippers’ life onboard.
